Followed posted instructions and received the following error for 'dotnet35sp1':
Note: command 'wine msiexec /i XPSEP XP and Server 2003 32 bit.msi' returned status 2. Aborting.
I then tried to install 'VMware-viclient.exe' and received the ''hcmos.sys' popup error also. I could not 'uninstall' to finish the installation as the author suggested. The install was fully aborted after the popup error.
