What works

On wine 0.9.2 MPLAB 7.21 main application works. MPASM 4.02 works. Projects can be loaded, saved and assembled. The piping issue wich was a problem under wine20050524 is gone. The integrated Simulator MPLAB-SIM also works fully. And furthermore for the first time a Microchip Hardware PICSTART PLUS which is connected via the serial port works fully too. Picmicro chips can be erased, read and written as under M$ win. Finally a great success for wine.

What does not

It cannot order pizzas by phone.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Unforunately i have no Microchip ICD-2 incircuit debugger to test if this hardware tool works too. Since it also is connected via the serial port chances are that it will work too. I will test this as soon as possible.

HowTo / Notes

Note
The newest version is built on Netbeans (Java) so a Linux native version was released too. Now there's practically no reason to use these legacy versions in Wine. (Thanks, Microchip developers!)
