Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
Nothing.
What does not
Upon running the installer msi file, it immediately halts saying
"""A newer build of Rhino is already installed. Please uninstall it before installing this edition."""
An inspection of the msi trace reveals that it is failing on:
trace:msi:MSI_EvaluateConditionW 0 <- L"REMOVE=\"ALL\" OR RHINO_50_X64_INSTALLED=\"0\" OR (RHINO_50_X64_INSTALLED=\"1\" AND INSTALLING_VERSION>=RHINO_50_X64_VERSION)"
Unpacking the msi file using lessmsi, manually placing the respective files in C:/Program Files/ and C:/Windows (mostly by guesswork) and then attempting to run the rhino executable does not work either.

What was not tested
Since installation fails, nothing could be tested.

Additional Comments
It is likely there is a simple registry fix for this.
