Songbird

What works

The installation works. I installed all of the recommended plug-ins. The only opt-out that I chose after the shortcuts parts of the installation was to not send anonymous metrics to POTI.

I used Wine's "My Music" as my song database. I had marked "Run Songbird" true as the last step of installation & it initialized without fault. 2550 of my 2613 (from /home/user/Music) songs were imported.

I attempted to play a song. I was prompted with a pop-up telling me that Quicktime did not load. I clicked the option to disable it & the song played. I have not installed Quicktime in wine.

The browser was the first thing to greet me at start and it had loaded content. I did not click anything, nor browse the web.

What does not

Songbird froze while playing the first song played on the first start of the application.

Another start, I had a pop-up stating an error in playback, but the application continued to function and play music.

Songbird did not like to be closed. It required force-quitting.

I never saw the Menu-bar. I tried F10 & F11, but was never able to view a menu, e.g. _File.

I did not test mediashare, nor any plugins.

I did not configure coverart.
