What works
I installed all recomended add-ons. From very little use, the browser appears to work. It plays music!
What does not
I had to bump the version of "Windows" from 95 to XP. I did not try any versions between, below, nor above. During installation, there was a warning about functionality on 95. There was a failure at start/execution of Songbird about NT and Glib on 95.
Upon attempting to play a song, I was prompted about not having Quicktime installed and disabled the plug-in.
I could not get any sound to play. I changed the preferences in winecfg, but not of them made Songbird play sound. All worked with the testing sound. After killing and re-starting Songbird, sound returned. (I had the same issue with Opera through Wine. I do not believe that this was an issue with Songbird.)
Workarounds
What was not tested
I did not give my e-mail to receive updates.
I did not test for adding video to Songbird. In my /home/user/Music, I only have music (.ogg) and maybe some Icons and textual files.
I never turned the media-server on.

Additional Comments
I ran Wine as a emulated desktop. Because it did (eventually) play audio after killing and restarting it deserves a platinum & this may not be an actual issue with Songbird on Wine. Tested via Debian Wheezy's system-wine.
