Additional Comments

Using Linux Mint15 Cinnamoin nad everything thing works flawlessly on my system. System @ Amd 3800 Bulldozer quad core, Ati HD7770 1GB gfx, 16gb RAM, Gigabyte mb Had to let Steam install the requisites after installing them in Linux but it was no biggie, then I could run the game and I tell you man, it is sweet under Linux :)

HowTo / Notes

How to Get Train Simulator 2013 to Work With WINE
These are important instructions on how to successfully run Train Simulator 2013 With WINE.

1. These components need to be downloaded and installed through winetricks before you download the game: Steam, .NET Framework 4, NVIDIA PhysX, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010, and DirectX 9 (or their equivalent).

2. You can then download the game through Steam (Grab a soda, because this is going to take a while).

3. Once it is downloaded, quit Steam.  DO NOT run the game yet.

4. Go to your Train Simulator 2013 files in the Wine File Manager and change the name on the file "installscript.vdf" to "old_installscript.vdf" at this directory: drive_c/Program\ Files/ Steam/SteamApps/Common/Railworks.  This prevents the game from reinstalling the components you installed manually.

5. You can then open Steam and play your game with minimal issues.

Happy Gaming!

(I received this information from a user named John Manktelow.  I need to give him credit for his greatly valued information.)

TSX

TSX graphics do not work unless you have a powerful computer and Anti-Aliasing set to FXAA 1+2xSSAA or higher.  Do not attempt to use it if you run it with anything else.

The game will run fine with it off.  It will not compromise the quality of gameplay (besides the obvious).
