Installation almost completed and failed the first time, but subsequent running of setup.exe from local c: drive properly recognized and repaired the installation.
With the "gdiplus" library set to native, the application launches and behaves normally. The startup dialog works, allowing selection of templates, and the templates work. Drag and drop of icons and connectors work normally, and keyboard shortcuts are all active. Document save and re-open work normally.
What does not
The language settings toolbar has a black overlay on it, and when the settings dialog is opened (by guessing) the option to disable the nonworking toolbar is not available. This is not a core component of Viso, but is installed by the Office 2003 installer.
What was not tested
No testing of VBscript, sharepoint tools, SOAP, or any other firewall-perforating features.
Other dll overides already set for Word 2003: msxml3, riched20, riched32 -- all set to native.
