Additional Comments
I had to install ies4linux, run "wine d:setup /postreboot /pkg:mnypack" after regular setup, and set the Windows version for the application to "Windows 98" in order to get the application to work.

2015-04-20 Admin note: the following steps were extracted from a test report filed for Wine 1.4.1 and may not be relevant to current Wine.
A few steps are required before launching MS Money's "setup.exe", but then the setup runs perfectly and the installation succeeds as expected.
1) Do a "export WINEARCH=win32" to make sure Wine runs in 32-bit mode.
2) Use "winetricks" to install these 3 packages: - "ie6" - "msmxl3" - "corefonts"
3) When Money runs for the first time it will ask, “do you have an Internet connection?” Answer “no” to avoid online content that will be useless and outdated anyway.
