What works

Program installed ok.

Program started OK
"Microsoft Money Internet-Based Services Policy" pop-up window appeared
In the pop-up window pressed "OK" button
Pop-up window closed and another "Microsoft End user Licence Agreement" pop-up window appeared
In the pop-up window pressed "I Agree" button

Then Microsoft Money Splash screen appeared with a "spinning circle" cursor if the cursor was moved outside of the pop-up window. The cursor was a standard arrow if moved over the pop-up window itself.
The pop-up window did not disappear by itself, waiting up to 5 mins. Previous versions of wine (unfortunately I have no idea which ones and how long ago) I believed allowed the program to get past this point and into the main program.
This pop-up window could also not be dismissed by clicking on it.

Pressing
Help ⇨ About Microsoft Money
opened a pop-up window "About Microsoft Money" which reported the program as:
  Microsoft Money Deluxe OEM Edition
  Serial Number: 76303-OEM-0000007-00000

Pressing:
Help ⇨ Microsoft Money Help
did open the expected help window, whose contents appeared to be MSN articles.

What does not

With the Microsoft Money Splash screen pop-up window still present, if in the main window a "top" menu item was pressed (i.e. File) the program crashed.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Not every menu item was checked to see which crashed the program, which did nothing, and which worked.
I was unable to test basic program functionality, as it crashed when trying to open or create a new file.

Additional Comments

Command used to install the program in a new wine prefix:

export WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32_msmoney2005
WINEARCH=win32 wine "$HOME/Documents/WindowsPrograms/msmoney/Money2005UpdateWith1105PatchInstall/setup.exe"

Download and install the wine-mono package when prompted.

Command used to run the program:

export WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32_msmoney2005
wine start "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles\msmoney.exe"

Wine debug reported the system information as:
