Additional Comments
Tested version: GeoViewer 5.5 (32-bit). Warning: The installer requires a connection to the web for to download a full software package from the server bin.us.lizardtech.com. The installation of GeoViewer v5.5 with Wine v1.5.21 was succeeded. But an attempt to run the application has lead to failure at some early stage of loading the executables files. Error message says "The program GeoViewer.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close." The system requirements at the vendor web site states: "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1". That's not correct. Actually, the program requires .NET Framework v4.0 (Full) for it's work, as noted in the GeoViewer 5.5 User Manual. All the versions of .NET Frameworks [2.0SP2, 3.0SP2, 3.5SP1, 4.0 (both Client and Full)] were installed using 'winetricks dotnet40' recipe. After that, it was tested using ".NET Framework Setup Verification Tool" [1], which reported succesfull setup for all the components. The DirectX package was also intalled with 'winetricks directx9' recipe, whithout any troubles.
