Epi Info™ Community Edition is the open source project to reproduce the popular Epi Info™ suite of tools in C#, with the goal of developing a data collection and analytics system for public health that is highly scalable, platform independent, and database agnostic. While the Community Edition will be continuously developed with new features being prototyped regularly, public health professionals looking to perform critical activities are recommended to use the stable version of Epi Info™ available from the CDC's Epi Info™ website.
Installation Instructions:
I was not able to run the problem using Mono, nor Mono inside Wine. I used the .net installed by winetricks. .net does not like linux x86_64 machines so I needed to add WINEARCH to it:
WINEARCH=win32 winetricks dotnet35 mdac28 jet40
I used the EPI Info in a zip format, so I need no installer. The "Launch Epi Info 7.exe" does not find EPI Info programs so they must be in the current directory or in search path:
unzip Epi_Info_7.zip
cd "Epi Info 7/"
wine EpiInfo.exe
