Installation works fine with /nogui option.
Aside mentioned hiccups, the game works fine. That includes cut scenes, scripted sequences, audio, subtitles etc. I completed the game using Wine 2.9.
What does not
The game screws up the gamma settings on first run. Adjust it in-game, or use something like "xgamma -gamma 1.0" to reset it.
Incremental rendering needs to be turned off (leaves afterimages) or software rendering used instead.
On systems without a CD/DVD-drive, the game asks you to insert disc
1. Use winecfg to add a new drive and use advanced settings to set it as
a CD-drive. Game bug possibly.
With DirectDraw rendering (the default) some objects (sticky tape in
the beginning of the game) can't be targeted and picked up. Switch to
software rendering instead.
A Mesa bug causes the screen to stop redrawing after loading a saved game or changing graphics settings. See bug report for explanation. Either apply the patch to your 32bit Mesa driver or launch the game with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE set.
I only encountered the path finding / walking through walls bug once, and simply restarting the game got rid of it.
