What works
Everything I have tried.
Best way to install:
1. (Optionally) create installation directoryexport WINEPREFIX=/home/.vectornti2. Using winetricks [Install a Windows DLL or component] install mfc42.dll
3. Run wine "Vector NTI Advance 10.exe" and follow all instructions
4. Since setup crashes after a reboot, run rundll32.exe manually, using parameters according to your installation:
wine rundll32 [path to]ime.dll,InstallHelper2 [path to][file f_{...}.ini]
where the [path to] points to Informax Installation directory, where the both ime.dll and f_{...}.ini files are located (in case of 10.3 version the ini file is designated f_{9876E8C6-F8D7-4F43-84D3-B97D177F9466}.ini)
5. Repeat the last step after each reboot (wineboot) until the whole suite is installed.
6. Run winecfg and select "Windows 98" mode, which takes care of glitches
This procedure works also with newer versions of the Vector NTI software except the fact you need to install it using msiexec /i command.
What does not
Adding molecules to windows of aligning and assembling tools from Vector NTI explorer does not work (as it did not also in previous versions of Vector NTI and wine), however one can overcome this by selecting all the files at once and run the corresponding application from the explorer window.
