Additional Comments
The software was installed with the packages distributed (Pons Lexiface Euro and Pons Lexiface Italienisch-Deutsch). These versions of iFinger did not run. The update of iFinger (2.1.2.) was not able to be installed (OLE error). So I copied the iFinger directory from the Windows installation into that of Linux and the software runs fine. NB: The wine internet explorer was installed first.

In order to make this work: Go to Wine -> Configure Wine Click Applications Click Add Applications Find the location of the Ifinger .exe file (probably C:/Program Files/Ifinger/ifinger.exe) Click "Windows 98" under the Windows dropdown. Save. This makes it much more stable and keeps it from disappearing all the time and not allowing it to be brought back.
