- Sometimes during simulation cursor goes to "panning mode" and doesn't go back. - Filtering components in a list is a bit slower than in Windows version.

LICENSE FILE: If it's going to be installed in a company network with network license key, installation should work. If it's going to be installed in a local computer with separate license file, license manager may not start during setup. To override it, install Proteus as in network license, adding local license file after installation by running license.exe in bin subdirectory of Proteus installation folder and adding/activating proper file.

Error : Proteus 8 Access violation in module 'VGDVC.DLL'
Workaround :
go to winetricks, if you don't have it, you can install it :
sudo aptitude install winetricks
or
sudo apt-get install winetricks
then open the GUI, either from the menu or a console :
winetricks --gui
then check, "Select the default wineprefix" and press OK.
then check, "Run regedit" and press OK again.
Now go to :
-> HKEY_CURRENT_USER
-> Software
-> Labcenter Electronics
-> Proteus 8 Professional
You should have the key "Default Graphics Mode" set to some particular integer like 3 or 2.
Change that to 1 by clicking on it twice and entering the number 1.
And you're done, this fix have been proven to work for Proteus 8x under Wine 1.8.7 under Debian Stretch. And should also work for other versions.
That was bloody easy wasn't it.
