What works

What does not

desktop: kde/xorg, moving the RASplus window around will

only work if selected from taskbar with rightklick.

minimize the window will result never maximize again

only close and start again will help.

in winecfg graphics unmark the 2 settings "allow desktopmanager to ...."

will correct this behavior, but then RASplus is not in taskbar, and its

always on top of the open windows. 

so i am not shure if its a wine or an RASplus or an kde problem.

on same system other wine applications will work fine.

Workarounds

to get RASplus running (install works without this steps, but not starting Rasplus):

wine version 3.9-1.2 opensuse tumbleweed 64bit ryzen7, amd radeon pro wx4100, mesa, Xorg/kde:

install in a new wineprefix 32 bit:

env WINEPREFIX="/home/youruser/.wine-rasplus" env WINEARCH=win32 winecfg

env WINEPREFIX="/home/youruser/.wine-rasplus" env WINEARCH=win32 winetricks msxml4

env WINEPREFIX="/home/youruser/.wine-rasplus" env WINEARCH=win32 winetricks ie6

(extract and) install rasplus2.7.7.zip:

env WINEPREFIX="/home/youruser/.wine-rasplus" env WINEARCH=win32 wine setup.exe

(without the internal msxml!!)

now you need from a windows xp the "iccvid.dll" (to save movies in .avi format)

copy it to the /home/youruser/.wine-rasplus/drive_c/RASplus

env WINEPREFIX="/home/youruser/.wine-rasplus" env WINEARCH=win32 winecfg

set dll  "iccvid" to nativ/buildin (all others do not touch)

if you own a for your configuration running "RASplus_Setup.xml" from a old installation,

copy it to the /home/youruser/.wine-rasplus/drive_c/RASplus

on desktop now is an unnessesary file "RASplus.lnk" delete it or

move it to the /home/youruser/.wine-rasplus/drive_c/RASplus
