It's required to run "winetricks d3dx9_43", otherwise the game would crash while loading a map.
Alt-Tab scrolling error seems to be fixed. I can Alt-Tab out now without the camera becoming stuck.
Multiplayer works perfectly out of box, no directplay was necessary.
