Single player campaigns, random maps, sound, etc...
You must start the game with -nostartup or the in game map will not render (black screen).Â
What does not
Joining a multiplayer match crashes the game.
Final installation fails in Steam, but deleting all .vdf files in the Steam/steamapps/common/Age2HD directory for the game allows the launcher to start.
The launcher doesn't render quite right, the top left button launches the game. The others are links and properly open in a Wine Internet Explorer window.
The mouse sometimes behaves strangely but only makes it a little more difficult to select groups of units.
What was not tested
Multiplayer in game.
The game has been updated after my earlier testing with a patch to support Windows XP that also fixes most of the issues on Wine. Start in Windows XP mode and use: winetricks vcrun2010 d3dx9_43 xact quartz
