Enemy Nations

What works

Pretty much everything related to playing solo, but with some issues as explained below.  Too bad--I've been waiting years for this game to be playable on Linux.  I HAVE (with difficulty) actually finished a game by exiting and saving on exit every few minutes.  It's a clunky work around at best.

Note--32 bit Windows Vista has similar issues, and 64 bit versions of Windows won't install at all due to the ancient 16 bit installer.

What does not

After a while, (as long as 10 minutes or so, sometimes only a few seconds into the game.) the game completely locks up.  Sound effects play over and over in a short loop and nothing responds at all.  The only recourse is to end the WINE session.

Additional Comments

The installer fails when trying to install Directx, (Can't find it.) But the game still runs.
