nVidia OpenGL demo made for GeForce 5000 series, to show off the new shaders and performance of the FX 5900.
The "ultra" version does everything the non-ultra version did, and adds real-time shadows.
Most of the demo. Sometimes. To make it more likely to work, alt-tab through several windows very quickly until it's done loading.
What does not
The demo, usually. It gives this error in the terminal window:
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7e99fbe0 "freetype.c: freetype_cs" wait timed out in thread 0009, blocked by 0022, retrying (60 sec)
The demo on lots of non-nVidia hardware. It's OpenGL, and uses several GL_NV_xxxx extensions.
Shadows don't work correctly: there's a big darkened box which moves along the wall and floor.
The fairy's wings don't show the iridescence effect.
When animation is paused, the fairy's hair flickers at 1600x1200 for some reason.
