Using 4-port DB-9 Serial (RS-232) PCI-e Controller Card, Moschip 9901 Chipset. This probably will work with others without problems. Create "com" links to "tty" device. See Wine documentation. Open "Terminal" and use command line. To see ports do "ls -l /dev/ttyS" The command to take control of port is not recommended for reasons of security. I just don't know a better way. Control port do "sudo chmod 777 /dev/ttyS(your port here) Set port BAUD rate do "stty -F /dev/ttyS(your port here) 4800" Enable XON/XOFF flow control do "stty -F /dev/ttyS(your port here) ixon" Disable modem control signals do "stty -F /dev/ttyS(your port here) clocal" Confirm setting do "stty -F /dev/ttyS(your port here)" After opening software, do not forget to set software com port to Wine com port.
