What works
Everything worked without any problems. We've used this- and earlier versions of this software in daily laboratory work on various Linux platforms. It works pretty stable even with huge sequence files (like full human chromosomes).
What does not
Minor rendering problems with some fonts (still usable)
Workarounds
What was not tested
I didn't test all accessory applications

Additional Comments
Needs manual install of Microsoft Data Access Components before or after the installation of BioEdit. I installed MDAC 2.8 with Windows 2000 settings (!). Then everything worked without any problems.
