What works

- Installation, main program

- Midi

- Audio playback

Installing FL was like normal. I played around with the piano roll, Sytrus, fx channels, and the basic stuff and it seems to work okay. Once I do more messing around with it I'll update this.

What does not

- Nothing as yet, although I would like to reduce the latency (<2000) and not get underruns. I need to look into this.

What was not tested

- Recording audio

Additional Comments

I installed Wineasio from AUR, along with other alsa packages from pacman. I am using a generic MIDI controller (QinHeng Electronics CH345 Midi adapter) (google it for images) and a Dell Vostro 3700. There was no text in the FL menus so I installed Times New Roman and Arial and then the menu text appeared as normal. I am getting underruns at less than 2000smp, but I am only using my laptop's sound card (Vostro 3700) and I should play around with FL and wine's settings more.

HowTo / Notes

Menu text
Install corefonts with winetricks for menu text to display.
Set a virtual desktop for FL Studio to better support window managers, and workspaces.

The FL Studio UI can sometimes go haywire if you workspaces in your desktop environment - the audio engine works and events are handled (for example, space still plays/pauses the project) but the UI is frozen.
