Here's how I installed it. mount all 4 cd's and copy to one folder. run installer and install for full when it comes to 95% and asks for disk 1 mount disk 1 and run wineconfig. under the drives tab create a new drive with the path towards the mounted disc 1. then specify the type as CD-ROM(if you can't see it, click 'show advanced') specify the location of the mounted disc 1 in the installer and it will finish install the expansion(BG2-ToB) run patch, then fixpatch(whichever you have) I had an issue with it running full screen so here's how it was fixed: run BG2 configure under hardware, check the Use 3D acceleration that's pretty much it!

Multiplayer can work, but requires some setup first.

To get multiplayer working for games that use a DirectPlay version prior to 8, place the following DLLs:
dplayx.dll, dpnet.dll, dpnhpast.dll and dpwsockx.dll in this archive in WINE's windows/system32 directory, then add DLL overrides (native,builtin) with WINECFG.
