I used "winetricks d3dx9_36 dotnet20" and ran the game with "WINEDEBUG=fixme-all,err-all,warn+heap,trace-all wine ck2.exe". I've also tried using just "wine ck2game.exe" to launch the game with mods, and that works fine too. Vanilla game won't work without that WINEDEBUG part.
