Apparently everything, at least in SP.
What does not
The installer hangs after correctly installing the game. The game freezes instead of exiting. The game does not "see" some xrandr resolutions.
What was not tested
Most of the game, I just played some races.
To make the game work I used a clean win32 wineprefix as starting point and followed the following steps. It worked for me, but I am not sure all of them are actually needed. Definitely with a clean wineprefix the game crashes on start. I installed the game, and killed the setup at the end. It appears a non-responsive window, but everything is correctly installed. I installed OpenAL from http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/Forms/AllItems.aspx (OpenAL Installer for Windows). I used winetricks to fix some d3dx9 problems: winetricks -q d3dx9_36 xinput With winecfg I set openal32 as native. I created this file to setup wine direct3d. To use it change the video memory to match your system, save it and load it with regedit. ------------- >8 REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D] "Multisampling"="enabled" "VideoMemorySize"="1024" ------------- >8 And the game worked quite well. It does not see my wanted resolution, but this problem can work-arounded editing My Documents/Codemasters/GRID/hardwaresettings/hardware_settings_config.xml manually. The game does not exit correctly, it just hangs. Personally I start the game as background job in the shell and when the game hangs unable to quit I use wineserver -k.
