The latest beta version, 3.54 beta 4, has alot better library system to 3.53, and has an improved chat client meaning alot less disconnects.
Installing, running on both primary and secondary connections - the main functionality is there.
What does not
Bringing extra windows like Settings, Whois, Browse or Personal Messages back to front with the buttons on top.
The main window needs to be moved aside to access them again once they're hidden.
There have always been a few graphical glitches like tabs not showing correctly but since this version there is an additional issue:
In the library and search windows lines are missing.i.e. not being displayed, making it hard to use these functions.
What was not tested
Upon first running WinMX with Wine it will prompt to install the Wine Gecko engine from Sourceforge so the status bar can be displayed properly. There are no additional overrides necessary except for the connection patch (oledlg.dll). WinMX is complaining about not being able to find winmx.com, this is not a wine issue but is due to the fact that that domain is no longer being valid. This has no influence on the functionality however and a simple entry in the hosts file takes care of that if it bothers anyone.
