The game itself runs fine with the default settings.
If you want to change the settings, you have two options:
  • Run winetricks dotnet40 to use the settings application
  • Download the settings.xml from here and put it into My Documents/SART/settings.xml

How do I configure the Joystick? It only adds the same button.

I installed 'PlayOnLinux' and then 'Steam' and installed the 'Sonic Sega All Transformed'
I installed dotnet4 and it did not work.
Could someone help me?

Launcher works fine with a proper dotnet40 or dotnet45 install, but configuring a gamepad is a gong show -- it seems to poll input constantly from axis deadzones on any attached analog controller -- so multiplayer and non-keyboard controls are a nonstarter.

Try putting an older version of x360ce (~2011) into the game folder. The game will recognize Xbox 360 controllers via xinput and I was able to get my controller running with that.

I found this too but only with xboxdrv. Are you using that? I need to double check when I get home but using my gamepad directly didn't exhibit this problem. I'm trying to find the root cause but it's proving tricky. It sounds like a bug in the game but surely it works under Windows?
