What works
Can't say much, I'm really inexperienced but maybe this will help anyone.
I couldn't get the VN to launch using steam initially.
Thankfully I have another VN using the same engine as this one.
Installing and running Saya No Uta (The steam version) once allowed me to bypass the steam api error I was getting on launch.
Everything after that has worked fine.
