HowTo / Notes

Download and install required fontsub.dll

Navicat required a dll that is not present into wine for add it follow this line.

     1) Download dll from one of this link:

     2) Copy dll into system32 folder of wine

Default path of folder is:    ~/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/system32

     3) Open winecfg and insert a reference to dll into the tab library like native-integrated

User ORACLE db

For use Orace db follow this official guide :

My suggestion:

       - copy Instant Client folder ( after unzip ) into folder of navicat

       - follow guide from point 3

libpq.dll problem
by Gabriele Bulfon on Wednesday January 27th 2016, 5:55
Hi, I can't make it run on wine 1.9.2 (built from sources on our
XStreamOS/illumos distro).

It installed, then on run the page banned shows, and then en error saying "Missing rerquired library libpq.dll, 998".
This library is right inside the program folder with navicat.exe.

I also tried the fontsub.dll trick, but:
- the fontsub.dll is already in my windows/system32, probably there by default in wine 1.9.2? Different size from the suggested download though
- I have no "native-integrated" option in winecfg/libraries

any idea?
Missing Error Messages
by Kelly Miller on Monday November 24th 2014, 13:25
I noticed while using Navicat 11.0 in Wine that when you do a Data Transfer or a Data Synchronization, error messages from the database don't appear; instead, a blank line appears where the error would appear in Windows. I can confirm that this is a Wine-only bug, as the same action in Windows produces error messages.
