What works

Both 64/32-bit versions run well, only 32ish is usable at all.

Colours setting, both pausing and stopping copy process work as expected. ISOs are choosable as well. SD cards are detectable.

An advice to set the settings in FAT32/NTFS tab for storing files in separate sub-folders  as Title [GameID] since Configurable USB Loader does see games only with following naming convention. Since WiiBackupManager detects USB loader from apps folder (can be changed in Covers tab), there is no real need in this.

What does not

  • Only 32-bit version draws content between bars switching.

  • Choosing Drive, changing any other option twice from a 32-bit freezes an application or draws a context menu on wrong position, not in a virtual desktop mode.

  • Format drives option from menu bar Tools does not see any (un-)mounted drives. Exporting game list from toolbar as well.

  • Selected drive recognized as "unknown filesystem" (neither if chosen as custom folder or a drive) if not mounted in a host system.

  • Fails to download any covers (file with an existing link not found on GameTDB, as seen in Downloads tab). Changing renderer, installing relevant libraries, Gecko or whatsoever does not fix this.

  • Strange behavior on resizing sidebar with chosen DirectX or OpenGL as renderers for game covers.

  • None of controllers or synopsis information are printed.

  • Exceptions raised on URL handling, E-mail is opened however.

  • On Virtual Desktop, Wine throws a safe error on exit, asking to terminate the process. Has nothing to do with drives state. Causes ghost window glitch. Cannot save any debug information, except "Unhandled page fault on read access to 00000000 at address 00000000 (thread 002e)" from terminal.

Setting Virtual Desktop and running a 32-bit version from any WINEARCH solves all the agony. No external libraries required.

What was not tested

Everything was pretty much covered. Exporting DVDs was not tested, but tray device is visible.

Hardware tested

  • GPU: Intel
  • Driver: open source
