1. Installation If you have to insert another cd open a new terminal and enter "wine eject". 2. Sound If you ca not open WineCfg's Audio-Tab: Delete /usr/lib/wine/winearts.drv.so (Backup first!) - after this step enable ALSA and change "hardware acceleration" to "Emulation" in WineCfg's Audio-Tab. Do not choose "Driver emulation"! 3. Cutscenes Run monkey.exe instead of Monkey4.exe, join the performance options and switch from DirectX to OpenGl. Have fun and become a pirate ;)

HOWTO Install the game

To install the game, you have to switch CDs during the process. The easiest way is to "mount one over the other":

mount cd1.iso /mnt/image
start installer and wait for it to ask for the other CD
mount cd2.iso /mnt/image
wait for the installer to ask for the first CD again
umount /mnt/image
finish the installtion

You can also use wine eject x: command, but it does not always work for me.

HOWTO Make graphics work

OBSOLETE: This addresses blue faces, hands etc, and more glitches! (not for every wine version apparently, please test this)
Use monkey4.exe to run the game (the launcher), not monkey.exe (the game itself).
Also, setup graphics to use OpenGL instead of Direct3D and 32bpp (in the launcher options).
