Additional Comments

Well, the game works very well, but there are some blue textures over the characters, which cannot be deleted enabling "Opengl" rendering instead of "Direct3d" rendering. I could not complete the game (i completed it in the past, anyway) because of that weird Pete's Dock bug, where Guybrush comes to the dock and then freezes. I tried everything, from unplugging the Joystick to setting "Windows 98" as OS, but nothing. If anyone has the solution, please let me know.

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO Install the game
To install the game, you have to switch CDs during the process. The easiest way is to "mount one over the other":
  • mount cd1.iso /mnt/image
  • start installer and wait for it to ask for the other CD
  • mount cd2.iso /mnt/image
  • wait for the installer to ask for the first CD again
  • umount /mnt/image
  • finish the installtion
You can also use wine eject x: command, but it does not always work for me.
HOWTO Make graphics work
OBSOLETE: This addresses blue faces, hands etc, and more glitches! (not for every wine version apparently, please test this)
Use monkey4.exe to run the game (the launcher), not monkey.exe (the game itself).
Also, setup graphics to use OpenGL instead of Direct3D and 32bpp (in the launcher options).
