This is the last released patch for Master of Orion 3. Lots of bug fixes and some features were added since v1.00
Everything! No overide dll's needed, no patches, nothing!
Installation went beautifully. Game loaded up no problem. Gameplay works well, saves are working. All good!
What does not
The sound was choppy until I set device emulation and put the default sample and bit rates up to max.
You also need to set a link in the winecfg pointing to media/hdc as a cd, and force your disks to be automounted there (just go to system: media, right click on the cd and change the mount point to /media/hdc) so that the play disk can be read.
This last point also applies to most games running under FC5
What was not tested
Space combat (I haven't got that far yet ^^; )
Read the "what doesn't work" to find out how to get around FC5's strange handling of removeable media.

25-WINE hasn't implemented securom(It's an anti-copy protection method). This means you will have to download a "No-CD" file to be able to play (disk 2 won't be necessary anymore). Please remember that you may only use that file if own the game (a.k.a. bought it in stores). The message below will appear if try to use disk 2 without that file, so continue reading this tutorial.
that "No-CD" file, overwrite the original Moo3.exe with the
one you just acquired in the directory
Interactive/Master of Orion 3" as in the example below.
27-All set up. Click in the created icon to play.
