What does not
Moving the window to another monitor will cause videos to pause while the music continues.
Moving the window back to the original monitor will resume the video. You can also play the videos using your video player of choice by renaming the mvXX0.pak or evXX0.pak files to .wmv (make sure to keep the originals).
What was not tested
You will need to have winetricks and run the following commands:
winetricks ddr=opengl winetricks lucida winetricks devenum winetricks d3dx9 winetricks quartz winetricks wmp10
OpenGL is required to run the game.
Lucida contains the font used in the patch installer.
devenum, d3dx9, quartz and wmp10 have required dlls for rendering graphics, videos and sounds.
Once you have all those, you can install the English patch using the installer from GitHub.
Finally, to run the game you will need to force software rendering with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1. One way to do that, if you don't want it affecting anything else, is to run the game with this:
LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 wine WA2_en.exe
Set an alias for that in your .bashrc and you're good to go.
