Additional Comments

To enable sound and multiplayer two settings have to be change in the game's configuration file 'rgl_config.txt'. It can typically be found in your wine's Application Data directory. From the shel you can search it with this command: $ find ~/.wine/ -iname rgl_config.txt Change this value to enable sound: use_winmm_audio = 1 "mmdevapi" should be set to "disabled" under "Libraries" tab in "Wine configuration" and multiplayer: use_secure_connection = 0 Mouse bug as in previous Mount & Blade, could be easily fixed with an alternative dinput.dll.so before wine 1.2 http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6971 for wine 1.2 and 1.3 the hacked dll is afaik not available anymore. compiling a patched wine 1.3 fixes the mouse warp bug however. the patch can be found here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6971#c377 explanation how to patch it can be found in the same thread. a complete howto on compiling wine in x64 can be found here: http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOn64bit (on 32 bit os it's very easy anyway) OT: (if you have no experience with sourcecode, patching or compiling, don't get scared, be bold and try it. wine makes it easy and google is your friend. in the process you'll learn quite a bit.) Discussion on this can be found in the games official forums: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,99405.msg2484377.html#msg2484377

HowTo / Notes

Low FPS Solution
If you're getting low FPS with Warband, try the following: Enable single threading. Open the "~/.wine/drive_c/users/your_user_name/My Documents/Mount&Blade Warband/rgl_config.txt" (change the path to reflect your Warband installation) configuration file and set "force_single_threading" attribute to 1.
