Additional Comments

DirectX was not installed. To prevent the application from crashing/hanging after launch (following the logo movies), Uncheck "Load Textures On Demand" from the "Video" tab in the configuration window. Alternatively, set `use_ondemand_textures = 0' in the configuration file (`rgl_config.txt'). The game had worked well in Wine v. 1.7.13.

Low FPS Solution

If you're getting low FPS with Warband, try the following: Enable single threading. Open the "~/.wine/drive_c/users/your_user_name/My Documents/Mount&Blade Warband/rgl_config.txt" (change the path to reflect your Warband installation) configuration file and set "force_single_threading" attribute to 1.
