NBA 2K14

What works

Installer / Game Works Tested on:

Game:

Install without problems in plain Wine 1.7.3

I have used this options to increase my performance

GLSL - disabled (in this version we can disable it that will not affect the color..so more fps)

Direct Draw Renderer - opengl

Video Memory - 1024 (your graphic card memory)

Offscreen Render - pbuffer

Multisampling - disabled

Menu Works fine

Game, I was able to get 30fps constantly with all my options in high (Video Settings), I have disable Vsync as well, it's cool to see that the same hardware gives more or less the same performance on NBA 2K14 as it was on 2K13

What does not

Sound don't work out of the box but just install: 

vcrun2010
dxfullsetup

And sound is working, if still don't work try to add dotnet 2.0 and dsound.

Another thing that don't work is the online mode, if you try to register will ask you to register every time you start the game, that's because your CD KEY, username and password will not enter the regedit, you can force it in clear text on:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2K Sports\NBA 2K14]

 Adding 2 strings USERNAME and PASSWORD

The registration issue in the beginning is gone but still you can't go online even if you import the regedit encrypted keys from windows, that's because certopenstore is not well implemented on Wine and you will not be able to authenticate against the 2K servers.
