What works

Game installs, "base" portion of the game loads, can select and change video and other game settings while in the "base", and the hangar renders in 3d

What does not

Cannot use the keyboard while in the hangar to start a mission. Could not use the joystick to change view while in the hangar. Game is therefore unplayable.

Additional Comments

Verified that copy protection was not interfering, also applied this patch (http://www.xwaupgrade.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9625&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=25#p133936) in order to get the game to run properly with my Radeon HD 5670 and disabled GLSL due to other issues I've been having with this card recently. Installed using Play on Linux, used Winetricks to install d3d9, and tested with Wine 1.2 in addition to 1.3.12 with the same results. None of the above resolved the input issues in the hangar.
