I tested the game with the free radeon graphics driver. The intro videos worked but in the main screen of the game the background was black only. Also the screen turns completely black after a single player campaign and a level was selected and that level was started. After a few seconds of loading the level starts with normal sound but with the screen remaining black. So you can't really play the game. I tried to play the game with and without d3d9x that I installed via winetricks. It doesn't seem to have any effect.
