Crystal Reports

What works

Installs correctly. Is found in GAC as expected and CrystalReports classes load correctly. The report viewer opens and attempts to generate reports.

What does not

There is an issue connecting/authenticating with the database server. There may be a solution or workaround for this.

Workarounds

What was not tested

I have not been able to test printing, report loading (are embedded reports found in the assembly as expected?) or actual report generation. These things (for my setup) are dependent on the database connection working correctly.

Additional Comments

To get the installer to work correctly you must install the dotnet20 package through winetricks. After installing dotnet20 you may wish to install dotnet40. I did but there was nothing suggesting that I needed dotnet40 for Crystal. You may then need to use winetricks to rebuild the wine-GAC if you have problems loading .NET 4 applications. I may have needed to rebuild the GAC because I had dotnet40 installed before installing dotnet20. I rebuilt the GAC after installing Crystal (may or may not matter what order).
