Instalation through Steam is OK. Program runs. Playing a song works fine. Please see comments for instructions.
What does not
There is a  slight unmute delay, when you keep a few seconds without playing then start playing again.
What was not tested
Minigames, but they probably work.
Rocksmith 2014 will run fine, just as Steams installs and upgrades it, without any "no-cable patches", if: 1) Use winealsa.drv instead of pulseaudio (I edited the registry for that) 2) Use a relatively recent version of wine (newer than 2014/december). 3) Set Win32UltraLowLatencyMode=0 in Rocksmith.ini in the program's directory. Thanks to Martti Huttunen.
