So in order to get this to work (run through console with 'wine BGEE.exe to get the dump): 1. Install in windows and get the files to a folder on linux-wine (my version had an extractor so... this step wasn't really required for me, but it's the way to go); 2a. I was missing this, so I had to install it under wine» http://code.google.com/p/rallyraid/downloads/detail?name=oalinst.zip&can=2&q= 2b. console said i was still missing OpenAL32.dll even after it was in system32 dir, so I copy/pasted it to the Baldur's gate dir and works; 3. This step only if missing textures (menu, backgrounds, etc). Run with 'force_s3tc_enable=true wine BGEE.exe' 4. On a sidenote I also had to install winbind I got a console warning for it (apt-get install winbind).
