For the best results play without the CD and use the ini. This though seems to just cause a slight problem when switching in the main menus, not later. So this can be ignored. The game was patched from 1.0 to 1.2 Version: 1.2

Not required by all releases - a bug from 3DO. broken dll is supplied with patches
Once the game has been installed follow these steps.
1.(If experiencing problems) Download http://home.mchsi.com/~andy4590/Mss32.dll (broken link, sorry, can be found on google) and replace the file in your Might and Magic VI directory with this one. This will allow you to watch movies.
2.(Optional Window Mode) Open winecfg. Click add application and browse select mm6.exe in your Might and Magic VI directory. Open the Graphics tab and check 'Emulate a virtual desktop' and set the resolution to 640x 480.
3.(Optional NOCD) If you would like to run without a CD, use this ini http://home.mchsi.com/~andy4590/mm6.ini and place this file in your Might and Magic VI directory.
