Crescendo Music Notation Editor

What works

Setup (from crescendosetup_v.1.16.exe) works perfectly.   The program opens after setup.

Functions which work: 

• Menu bar 
• Freestanding toolbars, including selecting tools
• Undo
• Placing or moving notes
• Slur and tuplet tools
• Appending or moving bars
• Changing the time signature
• Changing end bars (double, repeat, etc)
• Changing the score name
• Inserting or editing text
• Placing and deleting dynamics
• Changing the spacing between staffs
• Auto-format
• Save
• Export image (.png)

It pops up the quick-select "cloud" after placing each note, but it's highly useful and can easily be ignored.

What does not

The context menus appear after right-clicking on an element, but on mousing over any entry in the context menu which has a drop-down, the whole menu disappears.  This makes certain normal functions, such as changing the clef or key signature, completely inaccessible.  Other functions, such as adding dots or accidentals, can be accessed through the quick-select "cloud" after clicking on a note.

When "Play" is selected, the program goes through the motions to play the score as MIDI, but it is not attached to an audio output.
