What was not tested
Upgrading 32-bit to 64-bit simply installs both versions. I don't know if this happens in Windows too. Tested running X over SSH. No overrides. BOINC is available for a wide array of platforms, and a lot of platforms are supported by the projects. You are probably better off asking a project to support your platform than using Wine to translate Windows calls.
It should be possible to use a native BOINC and run a Windows executable with Wine if absolutely necessary.
Test results for BOINC are still welcome as they help developers with Wine.
