Tested on clean 32bit wineprefix Installed msmxl3 and dotnet40 through winetricks. Game launcher in Steam needs -NoLauncher set in launch options. Still get a "Launcher.exe has crashed" message but then the game boots fine. Runs well on my rig as long as AF, DOF, Physx and AO are off. Phenom II x4 965 MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr 2 4GB Corsair Dominator 1600mhz

Launcher crash

2015-04-20 Admin note: the following was extracted from user comment made in 2014 and may not be relevant to current Wine.


Launcher crash can be avoided by launching game executable instead of launcher. Need to rename borderlands.exe into launcher.exe.
