Start with a clean prefix, and configure as WinXP as the default: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-tax winecfg The installer does not need this, but the pragram will crash with the built-in ie or any other version: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-tax winetricks ie6 Run the installer: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-tax wine ta13stdw.exe The program will run from the shortcut or menu. Ignore the warning about needing ie7 or greater. NOTE: You will need to add multilib capability to Slackware64 in order to run Wine.
