How to install: Setup a new WINEPREFIX. Install through winetricks: - winhttp - crypt32 - vcrun2010 - d3dx9, d3dx10, d3dx11_42, d3dx11_43 [don't know, if d3dx is really required, maybe it works without it] Now start winecfg and set dll-overrides: - msvcr100 to (builtin, native) - crypt32 to builtin [we will change this later] Install steam and launch it [use 'wine Steam.exe -no-dwrite', otherwise you won't see labels in Steam. Set WINEDEBUG=-msvcrt. The uplay-launcher won't work without this, 'cause of the huge amount of logging.]. Install anno 2070. Launch Anno. Steam will now try to install directx [thats why we set crypt32 to builtin, as this will fail otherwise]. Uplay-Launcher will start and ask for your user-credentials. Close it now. If uplay-launcher freezes, kill it [pid can be found by 'ps ax | grep uplay']. Shutdown Steam. Now, start winecfg again and set crypt32 to (native, builtin). ==> It's done! Start Steam, launch Anno and enjoy. --- Sometimes the uplay-autopatcher fails to uprade anno to the current version [could connect to server]. If this is the case, just try it again.
