more than 5 minutes of game play on an existing save game.
steams overlay didn't work. not sure if that's steam or the game so initially classified as platinum as it works so well but, may be deserving of a silver if the overlay is a game issue?

If you have any issues with crashes on mouse/keyboard input, corrupted graphics or other issues: try disabling the Steam game overlay.
Even if it it doesn't break the game per-se, it might crash when you attempt to open it. Disabling it preemptively might be a good idea.
For some users, it seems necessary to override the DirectX 9 libraries used by the game. It doesn't seem to be needed in all setups, specifically not for Wine 1.7.13+ users with NVIDIA proprietary drivers, but if you see a blank screen or graphics corruption, try overriding the following libraries, either manually or through Winetricks:
